What We Collect

When you submit our contact form, we collect:

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Property type
  • Service required and job description
  • Photos, if you email them separately to request a quote

We do not collect payment information through this website.

Why We Collect It

We use this data solely to respond to your enquiry, provide a quote, and — if you proceed — carry out the agreed work. This is processed under the legal basis of legitimate interest (responding to a business enquiry you initiated) and, where a job proceeds, contract performance.

How Long We Keep It
We retain enquiry data for 12 months from your last contact with us, unless you become a client, in which case records relevant to the job (including invoices) are kept for 6 years to meet Irish tax and record-keeping obligations.

Who Else Sees It
Your data is processed through the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

  • WPForms (form submission handling)
  • Hostinger (website hosting, based in the EU)
  • Google (Gmail) (business email)

We do not sell or share your data with any other third party for marketing purposes.

If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

Your data is processed through the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

  • WPForms — handles and stores your contact form submissions
  • Hostinger — our website host, stores site data on EU-based servers
  • Google — Gmail for business email correspondence, and Site Kit (Analytics) for anonymised site usage data

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

How long we retain your data

Where your enquiry does not result in an agreement for services, we shall retain your personal data for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of your last contact with us, following which such data shall be permanently deleted.

Where you engage us for services, we shall retain records relating to that engagement — including invoices, correspondence, and job-related documentation — for a period of six (6) years, in accordance with record-keeping obligations under Irish Revenue requirements applicable to sole traders.

Notwithstanding the above, we may retain data for a longer period where required to comply with a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, or enforce our agreements.

What rights you have over your data

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you.
You have the right to request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete data.
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data, subject to our retention obligations set out in above.
Where processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission (DPC), the supervisory authority for data protection in Ireland, if you believe your data has been processed unlawfully.
To exercise any of the rights above, contact us at office@fix-home.ie.
