Insulation is the first step in making your home warmer and more energy efficient. These grants will help you insulate your walls and attic to reduce heat loss and lower your heating bills. Below you will learn basic information about them.

External wall insulation grants
Who can apply?
All whose houses were built and occupied before 2011. This date is counted from the installation of the electricity meter.
The grant can only be awarded once per property for each type of work.

You will need the MPRN number from your electricity bill and our ID (Fix Home - 17771) from the SEAI register.
Furthermore, you will receive a form in the post called the Declaration of Works – one for each energy upgrade, which have to be filled by you, us and your BER assessor when the works are completed.
Please remember to apply for a grant a few days before starting work.
You have 8 months from the date of the grant application to complete the works on your home and return the paperwork. You can find the expiry date in your letter.

To receive a grant, please submit your completed Declaration of Works form and your Request For Payment form.
